Susan Pierson was the daughter of Edward and Maria Smith Pierson. She
married about 1874, John A Cook, who became a successful real estate
broker. Susie died the day before Christmas, 1939, in Brooklyn.
Her estate was valued at $237,000. The probate mentions her grandsons
George W. Bennett and Albert Edward Bennet, her daughter
Florence H. Beecher, sons
Albert E. Cook of Caldwell, NJ, and
Roy J. Cook of Upper Montclair, NJ, and
children of deceased son, John A. Cook Jr The Appraisal differs slightly
as it names John A. Cook Jr.'s children: Walter E. Cook, John A. Cook Jr.,
and Emily F. West, who are all children of John Alfred Cook
Also mentioned is her ownership of property at Coney Island "known as the
