BIOGRAPHY
Henry Wick was born in Kragerø, Norway, January 1872. His immigration record lists him as Harald Wiig, so Henry may have been his middle name and not his forename. About 1893 Henry married Camilla, born in Norway, January 1870.  Henry and Camilla had seven children, but only four survived: Harold, Henry, Edward and Camilla.  Henry died young between 1906 and 1910, leaving his widow with four children aged three to twelve.  Undoubtedly other family members provided Camilla with assistance during this time as she did not remarry.

We know little about Henry, other than he was working as a janitor in 1900.  He and Camilla had purchased a home on 68th Street in South Brooklyn, which was mortgaged in 1910.  That Camilla was still living there in 1920 suggests that she either had her own finances or was receiving financial help.  The family believed in educating the children and Camilla carried on this tradition. By 1920, Henry Jr. was a file clerk in a bank and Edward was an office boy in a bank.  These positions may have been acquired through family connections as Christian Greenwold was the superintendent of the Mechanics Bank.  Harold Wick, eldest of the children, married and became well known in the shipping industry at Port Washington.

Henry's son Henry W. Wick was born 23 Jul 1901, Brooklyn, and married Grace_____ in 1927 or 1928.  They were living with Camilla in 1930 when Henry was employed as a book keeper for "Int T&T."  Henry died August 1969 in Saint Petersburg, Pinellas Co., Florida.

Edward Wick was born 30 Jun 1904 in Brooklyn, and died October 1966. He may be the Edward W. Wick who married Clare McNamara and were living with her parents in New Jersey in 1930.
