BIOGRAPHY
David Fenner was born in Ireland about 1822, and it's not known if he married his wife Elizabeth before or after he left the old country.  David's occupation in 1850 was as a "coach leverer."  Ten years later he was a "bonnet bleacher," in 1870 he was a "weaver," and in 1880 he was a "coach lacemaker."  Although the occupations differ, one can assume his primary trade was in some type of weaving or lace making.  David and Elizabeth had two daughters, Charlotte and Anna (called Emma J. in the 1860 census); and a son George who was an "engineer."  It's interesting to note that Charlotte Fenner's husband George Wylie was also an "engineer." Perhaps her father and brother worked together at one time.
