BIOGRAPHY
Amelia Miller married William Kinley, probably in Brooklyn before the family moved to Pearl River, as the couple lived there when the 1920 census was taken.  William worked as a machinist in the Navy Yard, and held the same position after they moved to Pearl River.  Their son William enlisted for service in WWII on 9 Jan 1942 as a private, 4 years of high school. His occupation was listed as: Carpenter, General or Dental Laboratory Technician (Dental technician.) or Physics Laboratory Assistant or X- Ray Technician (X-ray photographer.) or Dental Hygienist or Medical Technician or Chemical Laboratory Assistant - rather a curious background for a man of twenty two.
