BIOGRAPHY
The year of Albert Wilmott's immigration isn't known. In 1920 he
stated he arrived in 1914, impossible since he married in 1913. In
1920 he was in the ship building industry and in 1930 he was a roofer in a
factory. By 1930 Albert and Caroline owned their own home in South
Ozone Park, NY, valued at $3500, so he must have done well for himself over
the years. Caroline and their daughter Gladys earned some additional
income in 1930 by doing "bead work" at home. A real estate
transaction in 1946 probably provides us with Albert's last address in
Brooklyn before his passing ten years later.
